Sadly I have to announce the recent death of our Treasurer, Alan Game. Alan was a very good friend and I will miss him a lot. He was the Treasurer of the UK Pitcairn Islands Study Group right from the start, over 20 years ago. His knowledge and skill will be greatly missed. A full tribute will appear in the next edition of the UK Log.
David Ransom, editor, UK Log
The Pitcairn Islands Study Group (PISG) was formed in North America and the UK organisation was constituted from an informal meeting of PISG members resident in the UK during 1987-88. The name of the UK PISG was changed to the Pitcairn and Norfolk Islands Society in October 2012 (PNI Soc).

Expedition to Pitcairn - Gallery 1
In 2009 a group of members of the Pitcairn Islands Study Group, UK visited Pitcairn Island. In April 2010 we published a special edition of our magazine "The UK Log" with many of the photographs they took on the island included. But there were hundreds of great photographs! The first gallery of pictures now appears on the PISG website. Click here and look for the box on the lower right of the home page entitled "Other Pages in this Website".

New look website
If you visit the PISG UK website now you will see a new look. I have changed the program that I use to create websites from Adobe GoLive (which has been discontinued) to a British program - Softpress Freeway. The site has not been completed, but the basic structure is there. If you have any suggestions for content, or notice anything that needs to be corrected, please let me know. David

Coming soon - the FULL COLOUR UK Log
The next edition of the PISG UK magazine "The UK Log" will be the first printed in full colour throughout. Articles are invited now for consideration. Any photographs should ideally be supplied as high resolution jpeg files, but I can also scan your prints. David Ransom (Editor)
